Halton & St Helens VCA
Halton & St Helens VCA is a local infrastructure organisation that provides advice, information and development support services to voluntary, community, not-for-profit and faith organisations and volunteers in the Boroughs of St Helens and Halton. Crownway receives support from this organisation in the way of volunteer and staff training, accountancy support, payroll systems. Our membership also provides us with access to funding and other informational opportunities that enhance our delivery to the local community.
St Helens Wellbeing
St Helens Wellbeing offers a variety of accessible health and wellbeing services including advice and help with healthy eating, exercise, weight management, stopping smoking, breastfeeding, emotional and social wellbeing, oral health and volunteering. Currently, they lead our Walking Group on Wednesdays at 10 am and we are looking into expanding our partnerships to other services in the near future.
Community Groups and Local Businesses
Crownway is home to the regular meetings of several community groups and the services of local businesses. These partnerships help us provide a variety of activities for the members of our community. Our rooms are available for rental for groups and businesses that have a positive impact on the community.
Local Schools
We work regularly with several local schools in providing opportunities for learning, work experience and providing or supporting community activities.
Citizens’ Advice
Citizens’ Advice provides free help and support to people with legal, financial, consumer, or other concerns. They offer debt advice on Fridays between 10 am-1 pm at Crownway.
Rebuild with hope
Rebuild with hope are a charitable organisation set up to support people with multiple barriers to employment into work. we sell discounted high street goods to communities and individuals struggling to cope with the rising cost of living.
Funders
The community centre is funded by many funders including the National Lottery Community Fund, Coalfields and more recently Steve Morgan Foundation www.stevemorganfoundation.org.uk.
